Gills; 2014. 61 x 61 cm. coffee, eggs, yarn, thread, chalk, acrylic paint.

 




I wanted my painting to breathe, so I gave the canvas gills.

      Thanks, Paula! The embroidered gills look and feel pretty neat up close next to the thick layers of coffee and eggs! One of the reasons I'm starting this is that I really MISS our wonderful art talks and project sharing:)
